I A I N

A veteran guide & historian, Iain (Scottish spelling of the familiar Ian, and pronounced the familiar way) has a penchant for driving and the outdoors, and can walk you through European, German, and Bavarian history through the lens of all things Munich.
Guiding since 2008, he’s an easy-going chap who likes to have a laugh along the way, and would probably jokingly summarise the core of his professional life in Munich as ‘beer & nazis’. In addition to Munich itself, Iain also covers trips to Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial Site.
When not guiding, he can often be found cooking over an open fire by the Isar river near Munich. Ian has also travelled extensively, and has driven all over Morrocco, India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, South Africa, and Mozambique, just to name a few of his conquests.
He also takes annual driving trips through Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Austria, and, goes salmon fishing for a week every year on the River Tay in Scotland.
As required, private transport can be booked, and he can help with any activity or site booking requests you might have.
